What is Sculpsure?

Sculpsure is state of the art in body contouring using laser energy to melt fat cells. The treatment consists of applying frames just larger than the size of a credit card to the area that is being treated. gradually, the frame heats the fat tissue below the skin layer. The heat is followed by short bursts of cooling for comfort. The skin surface is cooled and not affected. The destruction of the fat cells is permanent. Not only are the fat cells under the frame destroyed but adjacent fat cells just beyond the frame are treated as well. This is referred to as “fanning”. This fanning of destruction leads to a smooth result, the treatment for a given area lasts 20 minutes. For best results, your body mass index (BMI) should be less than 30 and you may need 2 or 3 treatments to an area over a 6 months period. Best of all, there is NO downtime. You can get back to your regular activities right after your treatment.

The older method of non-invasive fat destruction or Coolsculpting involves freezing of the fat below the skin surface. Freezing often leads to lumps and bumps at the treatment site. Also, freezing doesn’t have the fanning advantage of Sculpsure laser technology which can lead to asymmetry and gaps at the surface. Plus, freezing takes 1 hour for a treatment. Omega Medspa, located on the second floor of the Alpha building, has the best deals on treatments using Sculpsure in the Atlanta area. What is Sculptra?

SCULPTRA (poly-l-lactic acid) was FDA indicated for facial aesthetics in 2009. SCULPTRA is a product that is injected into facial areas including cheeks, temples, jaw line, and nasolabial folds (the vertical lines above, around, and just below mouth).

Sculpsure: Permanent Laser Lipolysis

Non-surgical fat destruction in the past has consisted of a technology that cooled, thereby destroyed fat cells. Disadvantages of this technology include uneven contouring (i.e. lumpiness).

Dermal Fillers vs. Midface Lifters

Dermal fillers and midface lifters are injectable products that are composed of a naturally occurring substance the body produces, hyaluronic acid (HA).  While fillers are injected just under the skin, lifters are injected deeper, adjacent to bone.

What is Kybella?

Kybella is a clear fluid that is indicated for injection into upper neck to treat excessive fat (double chin) for permanent results.  Kybella  is clinically proven and FDA indicated to permanently destroy fat cells.
