Lip Injections in Atlanta, GA
Do you wish that you had fuller lips, but still want to maintain a natural size and shape? Lip injections may be the answer. Betsy Horton, MD, of Omega MedSpa, offers lip injections for residents in Atlanta, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Newnan, Eagles Landing, Hampton, LaGrange, and surrounding communities in Georgia.
What are Lip Injections?
Lip injections are a more recent development for lip augmentation. When lip enhancement first became popular amongst plastic surgery patients, he only option was silicone implants. While the implants did enhance lip size, many people were not happy with the unnatural appearance of their lips. Lip injections are performed with today’s best dermal fillers and allow for a degree of precision that maintains a natural appearance.
Benefits of Lip Injections
The lip injections offered by Omega MedSpa:
- Require no downtime
- May last for several months or longer
- Allow for the highest degree of precision for changing lip size and shape
- Can be used to add volume or improve symmetry
If you are interested in lip implants, our lip injections offer a temporary solution that helps you decide if implant lip augmentation is right for you.
Am I a Candidate for Lip Injections?
The lip injections at Omega MedSpa are performed with dermal fillers that contain hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin. This formulation is safe for most patients.
How Do Lip Injections Work?
Dr. Horton has chosen two of today’s best dermal fillers for lip injections.
● Silk®, a hyaluronic acid injectable treatment that adds fullness and hydration
● Volbella®, a recently released dermal filler that is specifically formulated for lip enhancement
What to Expect from Lip Injections
The dermal fillers are gel-based and administered with very fine needles. Several injections are made in and around the lips. The treatment may also soften vertical lines around the lips.
How Long is the Recovery After Lip Injections?
Our lip injections require no recovery period. Your lips may feel tender, and you may have some minor swelling and pinpoint bleeding for the first two to three days. You can lightly apply a cold compress to help with these symptoms, but you should not rub or massage your lips.
Additional Treatment Information
Lip injections are not covered by insurance. We provide an estimated cost after the consultation, but you may incur additional fees during the treatment. Our convenient payment options include cash, checks and major credit cards. Financing is available through CareCredit® and LendingUSA.
